Dont forget where you come from is the lamest line used by people who are jealous of you. Im sorry that I dont want to go back to a life of depression, anxiety, frequent panic attacks, suicidal thoughts, loneliness, and not feeling loved in my own household. Im sorry that I dont care to revisit those 10 years of darkness. But what I WONT be sorry for is the fact that I didnt use my trying times as an excuse to not succeed. Even through all of that I still managed to graduate high school at 16 in the top 2% of my class, graduate with my Bachelors Degree in Nursing 6 months after turning 21 with honors, become a successful real estate agent at the age of 19, was a successful basketball coach and player, and now a successful Business Woman. Dont tell me to not forget where I come from. Trust me I REMEMBER. THATS why I go so hard. Unlike you I dont dwell on it. I use my past to fuel my fire and teach myself how to keep myself from going back. Maybe you need to forget where you come from long enough to have hope that you too can succeed, but dont dare think a walk in my shoes is a walk in the park.
