Dont get caught up with whats going on IN the classroom... get caught up with the lesson! Life IS the classroom where God is the teacher, we are the students, and a valuable lesson is being taught. Now... I dont know about you, but there were times in class when I would tune-out, drift off... especially if I didnt like the material being taught. Hence, I would end up with a grade below my potential... and if I failed the class, I would have to repeat it. Well... God has placed me in a classroom where life happens, and at times, I dont like the material/lessons being covered. However, it is Gods desire that I would learn and embrace the valuable lessons being taught... lessons that generate wisdom, understanding, right thinking, right living, humility. The purpose of the classroom is not to generate bitterness, anger, hopelessness... the purpose of the classroom is to generate wisdom, faith, hope, love! The purpose of the classroom is for me to shift from leaning on my own understanding... to leaning on His! This would be a result of me listening, trusting and obeying God! Truth be told, I would prefer lessons that are easy, comfortable and full of joy. I would prefer lessons with no effort... which I can pass with flying colors... but instead, they come in the form of trials, tribulations... hard tests! However, I have a choice... I can either tune-out, get upset, hate going to class, drop out, pout, get caught up with the noise in the classroom, get angry at the teacher, complain that the material is too hard... OR... I can embrace the lesson. I can say... YES LORD... HERE I AM... I AM YOUR SERVANT... LET THY WILL BE DONE... TEACH ME LORD! Many times I looked at what was going on IN the classroom instead of LISTENING to what the teacher - GOD - was trying to teach! Dont allow what God is teaching to get lost in what you are looking at... hearing... and/or feeling. You must allow the material/lesson to speak louder than what you see... feel... or think!
