Dont have the time to draft a letter to the BC Minister of the Environment asking her to reverse Bill 4 which lets pipeline industry do research in some of our Provincial Parks? Here, copy and paste mine: Hello, Im urging you to reverse Bill 4. British Columbias Provincial Parks system was set up to protect areas of this province so that we, as British Columbians, might have areas of wilderness to enjoy in their natural state, free of the degradation and destruction that is a result of development of any type. Allowing industry to do research in our parks will not by any means destroy a park or the parks system, but it will definitely have an impact on these natural spaces. It will also open the door for further exploration and development in the future, which could lead to a loss of the idea of provincially protected land that is to be preserved for British Columbians of the future. Please reverse Bill 4 and introduce legislation that will continue to protect our wilderness, and save it from the ever increasing development that is tearing down the natural places in this province. Yes, B.C. is a huge place, with huge amounts of wilderness, but if companies want to do business here, they owe it to the people of BC, in the present and future, to find another way, or to pay the cost to reroute their pipelines.
