Dont hold your breath, people. The best bet for a black superhero film is a Blade reboot or Jaden Smith as Static. Blade is a proven property and has instant name recognition. Wesley Snipes could reprise the role and people will come out just to support him. Static can only be made as a star vehicle for Jaden Smith. DC doesnt give a damn about Static. But they will if Smith displayed an interest. Another reason why these two movies will probably get made before Panther is theyre considerably cheaper to produce. Wakanda alone would require a budget of Asgardian proportions. I cant see Marvel investing that much money just for the public relations of having brought a black hero to the screen. Its possible, but not probable. If Black Panther shows up at all, itll be in the Avengers or a Fantastic Four movie..
