Dont just remember the date people, remember to THINK. Think about how 13 years ago, through mass racial hysteria and immense sadness, the nation questioned its own general security, implementing many of the regulations we see now and take as everyday life. Ask yourself, what have we done to ensure no further terror acts occur.. What freedoms have we given up and how much does your privacy matter when government agencies openly domestically spy on its populace? Are they working correctly and efficiently? How many men and women did it take to overthrow al-Qaeda, eventually being replaced by another larger, organized force with cyber capabilities? Think about the amount of money spent on funding The War in X. Were we able to achieve our goals, or at least gain the piece of mind to continue as normal? Was it literally WORTH it? Now more than ever, this should be a day of critical thinking about the state of our union, our place within the world and what actions to take (or stop taking) in order to move forward.
