Dont know why we would be surprised when as recently as Monday on Q&A government and other commentators continue to think that the way to improve education is through standardised testing. How embarrassing to such a simplistic mindset toward education and especially toward indigenous education. Perhaps one day governments will listen to the real research about what makes a difference to the lives and learning of children and stop the narrow pathway of a one size fits all mentality which obviously doesnt work as this latest report just proves yet again!
