Dont let anyone toy with your emotions. Stay with Grace in your responses always, but you are no ones toy or punching bag, so dont live that position for anyone. Where there is no honor, there is dishonor. Where there is no godly position (or use), there is abuse. We need to esteem one another the way Jesus esteems us! Close relationships should make you experience Glory in Christ! (Not ungodly junk) I personally dont mind persecution for the sake of preaching the Gospel from anyone, but in the inner circle, I dont put up with ungodly nonsense. Close relationships are meant to reflect the love of a Father, love of Christ, all by His Spirit. If this is not the relationships you have, you are hanging out with the wrong crowd. Anyone can miss it, and we give Grace Grace Grace, but consistent dishonor is unacceptable. You dont harbor offense, but dont put yourself with people who flourish as unrepentant offenders either. Guard your heart! Marriage is supposed to be holy ground, not some sort of trial run. May Jesus Himself be your Freedom. You are not under Law.
