Dont let the gentle breeze and sunshine fool you -- colder air blasts into the Brazos Valley this afternoon. A WIND ADVISORY is in place from lunch through sunset -- winds are expected to be sustained ~20mph, with gusts upwards of 30mph. A HARD FREEZE WARNING is in place for a good chunk of the Brazos Valley TONIGHT. Even for those technically not under the advisory, it will be close for you as well. Extremely important to wrap up those outdoor pipes & faucets (plus take care of the furry friends & yourself). Lows tonight are expected to fall between the low to mid 20s for most -- a few spots could reach the upper teens. Wind Chill values will make it feel more like ~15 - 20° by sunrise Thursday. Friday / Saturday outlook? That is a mess -- computer guidance still suggests a shot at wintry weather....but is having a hard time pinning down when & where. More details on that later today....
