Dont listen to the hype - Rock and all of its genre/sub genre are alive and well. People will once again begin buying CDs/Vinyl/Downloads as soon as some better options are available and from what I have heard there are some new technologies that will change the landscape again in 2015/2016 Music may wear many hats but it is far from dead and we are all still listening and actively buying music even those who download on the internet. I predict a resurgence of the industry but it in a far better format that the previous model - more of even landscape and fairness will now begin to prevail. I see people standing in line around the corner at a starbucks and a cup of coffee lasts 15-30 minutes but music can inspire and influence you for an entire lifetime. People will figure it, they always do!
