With a good portion of the film shot at Fort McCoy and in La Crosse, these local markets get the first opportunity in the state to see the movie. Plot: In 1944 Frank Stirn moves his family to become a barber for the American Army and a Prisoner of War camp at Fort McCoy in Wisconsin. Bitter that he is unable to fight, Frank takes a stand with a Nazi Officer threatens his wife. The fact-based film focuses on the time when Fort McCoy was an Army base and NAZI POW and relocation camp during World War II. It was filmed largely at Norskedalen near Coon Valley.
