Dont remember who ask a while ago, but I decided to test it before I posted my information here. Someone ask what is best setup to catch golden dorado. I tested both the baits that work well for them. Baitfish and Tropical Surface Lure. the best pole length I could determine is the 8. With the baitfish I caught 128lbs of them in the tournament. and with the Tropical Surface Lure I caught 176lbs. I think I was just a little more lucky with the surface lure. I think they are about equal for catching them. I would use the Tropical Surface Lure since it doesnt require consuming bait.
