Dont worry!, they said. The risks of someone contracting Ebola in the U.S. are almost zero!, they said. Yet there are 2 nurses that treated the patient in Texas that are now infected. These are people that had all of the protection medically available, and supposedly knew all of the protocols against infection, yet still contracted this illness. Now if it were only one nurse I could accept that he or she may have made an error and removed protective gear the incorrect way, or touched the wrong thing, but not two. And if two health professionals with all of their protective gear and knowledge of his illness, what about the cashier at the grocery store who took his money after he sneezed on his hand? Or the person who happened to touch the restroom door handle after he used the restroom and didnt wash his hands properly? I know the people he has had known contact with are being observed, but what about all the others we dont know about, and the people they come in contact with, and so on? OK, done with my rant...for now.
