Don’t Be Quick to Blame Yourself for Every Bad Thing that - TopicsExpress

Don’t Be Quick to Blame Yourself for Every Bad Thing that Happens in Your Life. Yes, God expects us to take responsibility for our choices and actions, as in the story of Adam and Eve. Blaming others for our faults is wrong and sinful. But the story of Job teaches us that sometimes, bad things happen to good people for no fault of their own. Taking responsibility for your actions doesn’t mean taking responsibility for the Devil’s evil acts. Yes, every effect has a cause but don’t be quick to conclude that you’re the cause of every evil that happens in your life. The truth is that the Devil is to blame for most of the evil because he is the originator of sin. The Devil plans evil against us, to harm and hurt us. The Devil stirs strife between friend and family. He instigates suspicion and mistrust between spouses. He is the catalyst of confusion. He is the facilitator of family friction. He is the promoter of promiscuity. He concocts strange diseases. He is the accuser of brethren. The Devils likes it when we blame others and ourselves for his actions. Jesus said, “The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. Ive come that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” John 10:10. – Isaac Kubvoruno
