Don’t Become Offended by Adversity By adminon Mon, 15 Jul 2013 “Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.” Psalm 119:165 (KJV) Job’s wife couldn’t handle the calamity that she and her husband faced. She became so infuriated and felt so hopeless, that she told Job to “curse God and die.” She had lost her possessions and her precious children and couldn’t understand why Job wasn’t cursing too. She became offended by adversity and cursed the same God that had blessed her in the beginning. No matter what you are facing right now, God is not the problem. He is the solution. God is not the one to turn away from. He is the One to desperately seek after. He is not the one you dare to insult, but the One you honor and bless. Everything in your life may be telling you to doubt God’s character and His love for you because of what you’re facing, but that’s when you must press in even harder because you know your God. He is with you, He is Who He say He is, and He is faithful to do what He has promised you. Prayer: Father, I thank You that no matter what I face in life, You are with me. You are the Most High God and You are sovereign. My heart remains in Your hands through it all. I bless You with all my soul and will magnify You always! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
