Don’t let your desire for success overshadow common - TopicsExpress

Don’t let your desire for success overshadow common sense. That’s worth repeating so it sinks in… Don’t let your desire for success overshadow common sense. Too many people get lured into hype for a property tour that has special deals for you. And sadly, despite property historically being one of the greatest overall investment vehicles… the industry is riddled with lots of hype. Look, you don’t need extraordinary intelligence to be a smart investor… you just need to control the urges that get other people in trouble. If you do find yourself at a “Property Investing” seminar, do yourself a favour and take this advice. ASK! What do I mean, ASK? Simply this… ASK questions. Don’t buy into the hype. Here’s a scenario… If someone spruiks from stage trying to persuade you to part with your money for their “exclusive” property offer… What should you do? ASK first. Ask the presenter, “Do you currently own a real estate licence in Australia?” Or, if they’re talking about a certain location, start calling around and ASK about it. Or, if the promoter of the event is saying how great this deal is… ASK: Do you the promoter make money when I buy this investment or membership? ASK: How many properties do you own in this investment? ASK the promoter to see the proof of what they own. Bottom line: If you have doubt, ASK questions. Risk comes from not knowing what you’re doing. Giving yourself time to think and get better educated will not only multiply your earnings… … It can also save you losing thousands from impulsive actions.
