Don’t suffer behind closed doors this Christmas A Christmas campaign aimed at highlighting the impact of domestic violence over the festive period, has been jointly launched by the north and east Belfast District Policing and Community Safety Partnerships with support from the PSNI. The ‘Behind Closed Doors’ campaign which is designed by Crimestoppers, aims to highlight domestic violence and give the message that tackling domestic violence is a community safety issue and everyone’s business. Traditionally, domestic violence increases over the Christmas period and the campaign will not only raise awareness but also inform victims that there is a lifeline to report incidents and avail of support services without having to give their name or any personal information. Anyone suffering from, or who has suspicions that domestic violence is taking place, can report it anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
