Don’t truncate Jonathan’s 2015 ambition, ex-militants tell Northern leaders BY FESTUS AHON UGHELLI—LEADERS of Amnesty Phase II, Tuesday, warned Northern leaders to desist from their attempt to truncate the 2015 re-election quest of President Goodluck Jonathan in the interest of peace in the country. Briefing newsmen on the resolution of the phase II amnesty leaders, after their meeting in Ughelli, Delta State, National Vice President of the group, ‘General’ Collins Arigo reiterated that the president has the right to contest for a second term as provided for in the constitution of the country. Commending President Jonathan for the giant steps he had taken in the implementation of his transformational agenda, they urged the Northern leaders to join hands with the president to take the country to the next level. They also applauded the Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta Affairs and Chairman of the Amnesty Programme, Mr. Kingsley Kuku, for his effective management of the amnesty programme.
