Doonside- Police have charged a man after he tried to get a schoolgirl into his car this morning. The 15-year-old girl was walking along Power Street about 9am (17-07), when she noticed a car parked nearby. It’s alleged a man, who was sitting in the rear passenger seat, called out to the girl and attempted to entice her into the vehicle. She walked to a nearby school where police were alerted. Officers attended the scene and arrested the 44-year-old man. He was charged with harass/intimidate school student and offensive behaviour. He was given bail to appear at court next month.
