Dorian Gray. Dorian Gray is a film based on the novel The picture of Dorian Gray written by Oscar Wilde. It is about the life of Dorian after he moves to London because of his uncle inheritance. Ben Barnes plays Dorian, the main character. Ben Chaplin and Colin Firth rolled Dorian’s friends: Basil Hallword Lord Henry Wotton respectively, who partner Dorian through his new life. Once that Dorian moves to London, he meets the two sides of the city, represented by Basil Hallword and Lord Wotton. Suddenly, after a part where the three of them goes, Basil decides to do a painting of Dorian, because Basil finds in Dorian the beauty and innocence that everybody wants to possess. While the picture is painted, Lord Wotton comments to Dorian if he would sell his soul to the Devil for preserving beauty and youth forever. And then, the story begins. Directed by Oliver Parker and with the script of Toby Finlay, the adaptation of The picture of Dorian Gray involves you in the Victorian society, presenting its virtues and its dark side. Also, the film shows you how the human nature can change easily when humans want to satisfice their desires. Finally, I highly recommend this film because it displays a side of humans that barley is shown in other films: how selfishness and satisfaction can transform a pure soul. https://youtube/watch?v=5eAQWllCHHU
