Dorian May Regenerate Into Tropical Storm BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — The National Hurricane Center Issued the following statement Dorian potentially regenerating into a Tropical Storm: NHC continues to watch the remnants of Dorian this evening, and has now given it a 50% chance of regeneration in the next 48 hours. The recon plane out in the storm this afternoon did not find a closed center, but did find gale force (greater than 39 mph) winds associated with the remnant convection. This system is expected to move to the west-northwest at 15 to 20 mph over the next few days, passing to the north of the Leeward Islands and Puerto Rico through Monday, and into the southeast Bahamas on Tuesday.
