Dork Dad and I had the brilliant idea of trying to wean Tiny Tyrant off of his night feedings in one weekend. The plan? No bottle from 11pm-5am. He was only taking about an ounce at a time once or twice in those hours, so we felt like it was more for comfort than anything else. Night one was 2 hours of screaming bloody murder while we rocked, walked, cuddled and did everything we could think of before finally giving him 1/2 an ounce and watching him fall fast asleep. Night two (last night) was us being up regularly from 1 am until 5:30 am. He wouldnt sleep for more than a 1/2 hour at a time an would wake up super fussy, but not screaming like the night before so we thought everything was getting better. Im not sure why he thought of it, but around 5:30 it occurred to DD to check the Prince of Poops diaper. Guess what he found??? I didnt smell it because Im still sick with the plague that kid gave me but HOW DID DORK DAD NOT SMELL THAT ALL NIGHT? The poor thing passed right out, woke up to eat at his normal 7:30 am and then went back to sleep. #workinonournightpoop
