Dorolyn E King July 8, 1925 - June 16, 2014 DOROLYN E. KING, age 88 years of Pittsford, passed away Monday, June 16, 2014, at her home. She was born on July 8, 1925 in Hudson Township, the daughter of Harold E. and Julia A. (Gardner) Smith. Dorolyn graduated from Hudson Area Schools in 1942. She married Max G. King on September 12, 1942, in Hudson; he preceded her in death in January 1989. Dorolyn enjoyed sewing, knitting, stained glass and especially liked playing the piano and organ. She was a member of the Lickley Corners Baptist Church. Surviving are three children: Robert (Sally) King of Waldron, Carol (Anthony) Davidoff of Hudson and Kathy Hartzell of Blissfield, son-in-law, James Wortman of Addison, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, brother, Edward Smith, of Hudson, sister, Veda Smith of Belleview, OH, and many nieces and nephews. Dorolyn was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter, Mary Wortman, grandson, Richard Smith, sisters, Viola Mason and Ada Hill, and brother, Floyd Smith. Funeral Services for Dorolyn will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 19, 2014, at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Hudson with Pastor John J. Poole officiating. Interment will follow at Lickley Corners Cemetery in Pittsford. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2014, from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
