Dottie Update: Day 23 After surgery Good news!! Dr. Pigott of the Wisconsin Equine Clinic & Hospital said Dottie is adjusting well to her cast! He is pleased how it is supporting her leg and he does not see any rub marks on her skin. The plan is to send Dottie and Buffy to their foster home this weekend! He will then see Dottie back in the clinic in 30 days to reevaluate and change the cast. He estimated the cast to stay on for at least 60 days. We are amazed how well this little pony has done and cant even imagine what Dottie has had to endure prior to her surgery, living as she had. We cant wait for the day we see Dottie take her first steps out of her cast, and trot again. These are things she has not been able to do in the past 1-2 years. Her recovery will be long with trips back to the Wisconsin Equine Clinic.
