Double standard and nepotism are serious problems which can be - TopicsExpress

Double standard and nepotism are serious problems which can be avoided in our country if round or square pegs are put in the appropriate round or square holes. For instance, when GEJ lost his certificates to fire, his university issued him a new one which they called a duplicate, the issue is that, by standard practice in Nigeria or any where in the world GEJ was given exceptional consideration or waiver which negate university rules that apply issuance of university or academic certificates. That acts, if approved or not by university governing council should make the certificate null and void. The Vice President certificates also gut burnt in fire, but instead of the Vice President tendering a detail To whom it May Concerned, letter or attestation stating he was a graduate of ABU, duration of course or year of enrolment, graduation, grades, course of study or an appropriate legalised copy of his duplicate certificates. His university need not tell us or INEC that his certificate got burnt. The university is not the police, insurance, coroner or forensic and fire disaster experts. His university erred due to nepotism or double standard and deviation of official standard practice. I am not a lawyer but presentation of a flawed documents in respect of certificates with disregard to usual format or universal acceptable standard is contestable and can render such documents documents useless at a disadvantage to the recipients. I wish APC legal experts should prepare very well and take advantage of the technical flaws that are contestable.
