Doug Reeves Memorial Service – Sat. 1pm at Quilcene School. Doug Reeves passed away Christmas morning at age 52. Quilcene is shocked and very very saddened. Please join Doug’s family and his multitude of friends at the MEMORIAL SERVICE on Saturday Jan. 3 at 1:00pm at the Quilcene School. Remembrance gifts may be made to the Quilcene Historical Museum. (Mail to P.O. Box 574, Quilcene 98376 or bring with you to the Memorial Service.) Funds received in Doug’s honor will be held in a special Museum account for completion of a Worthington Park project especially meaningful to Doug, whose skills and commitment to Quilcene have made this a better and safer place. Please designate your donation “In memory of Doug Reeves”. You will be helping to bring one of two projects to Worthington Park — public water to serve the Park, the Mansion and the Museum; or public restrooms for the outdoor stage area. Doug will be there shoulder-to-shoulder with the community to make these improvements happen for Quilcene and its visitors. Alternatively, gifts may also be directed to Quilcene Fire Rescue, our fire and emergency response service. Make these checks payable to Jefferson Co. Fire District 2 and send to 70 Herbert St., Quilcene 98376. Here too, note that your donation is “In memory of Doug Reeves”. Join your neighbors and Doug’s family, friends and admirers on Saturday at the Quilcene School at 1pm. The community will share food and drink following the service.
