Doug and I have been involved with recycling and gifting of unwanted goods for over 10 years in the southern suburbs of Sydney. Weve previously told you about the Sydney South Trash Nothing group (trashnothing/sydney_south) in previous months, but weve also created a Facebook version of the group for those that are more inclined to participate in the social media format. It gives people a place to offer their items to others for free and HOPEFULLY keeps them off the streets at council cleanup time and ultimately out of landfill. I currently only have one local council actively communicating with me about recycling, any tips for getting others to pay attention would be fab!
