Doug has been off the streets for more than two weeks now and its been a waiting game of cautious optimism. The housing first philosophy dictates that only a stable, and in Dougs case monitored, living environmnet will reverse the misfortune of a previous life. So far, this theory has proven accurate with Dougs turn around to include his sobriety. Doug is an example of the more chronic cases of homelessness if left untreated continue to tear at the fabric of our society. For this reason we spare no time or effort to mitigate and resolve these problems on the streets. DEP D
