This was his first experience of working in a social care environment bringing sound Christian values. His Christian leadership stands out and this is evident in the spiritual guidance and fellowship he offers his colleagues and his passion towards offering caring and meaningful support to services users, empowering individuals that have a learning disability. He has embraced every opportunity to develop his professional role. Despite his own health issues, he is always willing to take on additional challenges to enrich the lives of the service users. He has organised many outings and his qualities of tapping into individuals’ likes are amazing as is the effort he puts in to organising these events. Douglas always goes the extra mile. (LB)
