Down 38.5 lbs as of this morning. Woot Woot!! For those of you that have asked, I changed the way I eat. Im not on a diet, Im on a quest to eat healthy. Lots more fruits and veggies and I try and stick to organic and non-GMO (sometimes you cant tell). I have a spinach (2 cups) and blueberry(1 cup) smoothie every morning where I add a 1/2 teaspoon turmeric, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, and then 2 other fruits of whatever I have in the house. This morning, it was a banana and a cup of fresh organic raspberries. Having this every morning has made my cravings for sweet/salty crud go away. The first week was the hardest, but once I realized I wasnt craving bakery stuff or chips anymore, it was really fairly easy. This isnt to say that I dont mess up. Occasionally I do - but Im also trying to look at this with a new perspective. So I mess up one day - big deal - get right back on it the next day. I track EVERYTHING even if it is the bad stuff. I use a smartphone app - it was a freebie, nothing extravagent - just google calorie counter apps and youll find one you like. It allows me to track my weight, calories, activity, etc. (if you like the points system, itll do that too). The reason Im doing it this way is to teach myself what my body responds to and what it doesnt. Everyone is different, so what works for me may not work for you. One thing I can say is that getting more natural fruits and veggies in my body has worked extremely well.
