Download Duggo Handwriting Font of the Day for 01/25/2015 - FREE! This font is named after Doug Duckwall, a local HS student. In October of 2013, Doug and his friends decided to copy the famous 1958 method of measuring the Harvard bridge in units of “Smoot”, which was the height of Oliver Smoot (5’7″). MIT classmates laid out Mr. Smoot head to foot over the entire bridge to get the measurement (364.4 smoots + or – one ear). As a side-note, Google Calculator, Google Earth and Google Maps all incorporate “smoot” as an alternate unit of measure. Anyway, the local boys tried the same method with “Duggo” over the Hood River bridge over the Columbia River. Unfortunately, as there is no pedestrian crossing, traffic was held up in both directions and the boys were quickly arrested. Undaunted, his friends decided to immortalize Doug by having a font developed in Doug’s handwriting. We were happy to oblige. Researcher: HughA https://vletter/?p=5268
