Download MisleadApp Virus ------------------------------------- Downloader.MisleadApp is a trojan that infects a computer system through an e-mail attachment in most cases of infection. Once you agree to download the attached file the virus will install a number of files to your computer. These files will generate pop-up messages warning you of system infection with malware and spyware. And, of course, just like any other similar fake anti-spyware program, the messages will offer you to buy a full version of the software, such as AntiVirus2008 or IEAntiVirus. This trojan will also slow down your computer and might be able to compromise your private data. Difficulty: Moderate Instructions Deleting Downloader.MisleadApp Files 1. Go to the "Start" menu. 2. Click on "Search." 3. Click on "All Files and Folders." 4. Type "AntvrsInstall.exe" and press "Enter" on your keyboard. 5. Delete the found file. 6. Repeat the process for the following file names: braviax.exe, IAInstall.exe, iebtm.exe, ieupdates.exe, lphcasaj0el41.exe, lphceg0j0ene3.exe, name.avi.exe, winivstr.exe, winsrc.dll, xpupdate.exe. Deleting Downloader.MisleadApp Registry Keys 7. Go to the "Start" menu 8. Click on "Run." 9. Type "regedit" and press "Enter" on your keyboard. This action will bring up the registry editor. 10. Find and delete the following registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARE MicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersion Run 11. Restart your computer.
