Dozens of persons keep asking: Why dont you take this matter to Pres. Donald Ramotar, especially when he speaks out that Justice Delayed is Justice denied etc? So we repeat the following: In June 2007, Champadai Arjoon (mother of the fmr CEO) met then PPP Gen. Secretary Donald Ramotar to try to get his help for an investigation . Mr Ramotar told her “dem boys innocentbut the matter in court and he can do nothing until the case is over (NB: it was later revealed that Moen Mc Doom also held meetings at Freedom House prior to the DPP placing the trumped up charges on the CEO & 2 Managers) . In 2011 after the case dismissed, Champadai Arjoon and another relative (also in her 80s) again approached then Pres. Candidate Donald Ramotar about the non payment of pension LEGALLY due to the fmr CEO. Mr Ramotar told them that NBS is a private company but IF he had the power he will help. Well, he has been the President for over 2 years and NBS Board all alligned to his Govt, yet one of those old ladies recently died waiting for him to get the power to end blatantly Illegal actions he KNOWS about; the other is now bedridden while waiting for 7 years! In April 2011, at the Tobago Club in Queens NY, where Pres. Bharat Jagdeo and Pres. Candidate Donald Ramotar were guest speakers, a group went to the meeting with the intention of speaking to all present on the NBS matter & unable to. But one remained and spoke to both Pres. Bharat Jagdeo and Mr. Donald Ramotar (separately) and asked for a transparent investigation into the NBS case and for the 3 victims to be paid monies due and they both promised to look into it. Each also presented with a petition from dozens of overseas based Guyanese calling for a transparent and Independent investigation and for the 3 men to be paid as legally due, however, nothing was done. The group then contacted other o’seas based Guyanese from USA, Canada, UK & other countries which totaled over 500 and e-mailed the petition shown below, in August 2011, but this was also ignored. In Oct 2011 the Guyana Human RIghts Association also called for an Investigation and for payments due legally to be paid , followed by similar call from the AFC but also ignored! (both copied below) During 2011 Mr Arjoon also hapened to meet Mr Ramotar and told him about the violation of Labour Laws in his removal from NBS as well as in the non-payment of pension and benefits due, and that Nanda Gopaul was also involved in getting him wrongfully charged. Mr Ramotar said Gopaul is a wicked man and months later as President he made Nanda Goaul Minister of Labour! So now that HE President Ramotar states he will provide the public with answers to the many burning pending questions, we AGAIN ask: WHY IS THE PRESIDENT STILL SILENT ON THIS EVIL INJUSTICE? ALSO, TOP OFFICIALS IN HIS GOVT. ADMIT “PENSION RIGHTS CANNOT BE DENIED! - SO HOW CAN THEY DENY THE FMR CEO MAURICE ARJOON HIS PENSION RIGHTS FOR 7 YEARS AND CONTINUING? [NB:Mc Doom & Gopaul keeps saying that they have not paid Arjoon his pension because he was negligent, but it has been PROVEN in court that Arjoon was NEVER negligent but the BOARD is negligent by repaying the account holder when there was NO fraud!Note also Mc Dooms words [quoted by staff] he made the day after the men charged! • I know that none of these gentlemen did not benefit from a penny • I looked at the POA and having 41yrs of service, I could not detect that it was fake. • We know that they are innocent but the matter is now at the Court so we have to wait • Up to now the Police dont know nor do we know if this document was forged. kaieteurnewsonline/2014/06/08/ramotar-to-upbraid-ministers-over-inaccessibility/
