Dr. Amarta Sen of India was awarded Nobel Prize in Economics in - TopicsExpress

Dr. Amarta Sen of India was awarded Nobel Prize in Economics in 2002 on his thesis pointing out that all famines are caused by the Government and not by drought. He based his research on the famine of 1943 in the province of Bengal orchestrated by the British Raj to subjugate the rising movements against the Raj and the fact that the government (of the Raj) was housed in Calcutta then Capital of Bengal. Dr. Sen then expanded his theory studying all the major famines of the world and the tacit orchestration by the establishment / governments of those locations. The interesting part of the story s that Dr. Sen was stigmatized as a Communist during the height of the Cold War and then once the Cold War was over they decided to award him the Nobel Prize. Question: Why was his recognition subject to certain set of selected criteria and nt recognized as an universal as was done in 2002. Why an universal truth has to be subject of contemporary set of variables and not objective enough, more so when it come to Academia, the highest seat of wisdom without prejudice / brassiness attached to it. Why are the Ivy League Schools standards differ with time ??? Some thing to seriously ponder upon before being impressed via the awe effect of the Ivy Leagues ?? Now please watch the video and see for yourself for your independent , objective purpose only to be a guide for yourself and your children.!!!! https://youtube/watch?v=HjcO4tcobc0
