Dr Bawumias lecture was very defective in several respects.One,the Kufuor government mortgage Ghana under scam(sakawa) initiative called highly Indebted Poor Countrys Initiative.This made some bilateral cancelled Ghanas debt.Two,within a period of just 3years,the Kufuor accumulated a debt stock of $8.9 billion with nothing to so for it.Additionally,the NPP govt Ghanas stake in then Obuasi Goldfields and later Thana Telecom.The NDC govt upon assuming office in 2009 as a Social Democratic had to continue the Affordable Housing Project to their present levels.The NDC govt had to complete the Asokwa Interchange in Kumasi and also to continue the Sofo Interchange.The Achimota-Ofanko road has also been completed.The Bui Dam,which was under 30% as at the time the NDC govt took office,has been completed while the Eastern Corridor Roads are under construction.Several schools under trees have been remove while the Single Spine has made workers better.These and many more account for the under $11billion.#bga#
