Dr. Bobby Ott just briefed the board on TISD accountability ratings. TISD achieved the highest rating possible for the 2nd straight year. Our schools met standard on 59 out of 60 indexes. Were showing strong improvement every year, with proof in our Distinction Designations. As a district, we achieved 16 distinctions in 2013-2014, up from 11 the year before. Temple High School specifically earned a distinction in every content area, 4 total. This is a very unique achievement for a 5A, urban high school, and twice as many as last year. Board President Steve Wright said, All of you that give it your all out there everyday [for our students], we couldnt be more proud of you.
