Dr. Clabby came in and spoke with me this afternoon because...well Andrew keeps having problems and still gets to breathing fast, sats dropping etc...she said with him being in critical state with this surgery setup and all that hes been through and going through hes just starting to lose his stamina...aka tiring out a lot quicker. His heart function is slightly diminished and he does still have a clot in his left leg, based off the ultrasound he had done yesterday. It still clotted after this last cath. We now have been referred to hematology to follow him over the next 6 weeks and to keep close eyes on the clot he has. Blood work ever so often to check those levels, injections twice a day for the next 6 weeks including trips to their blood disorders center here at Egleston aside from cardiac visits. He will continue weekly cardiologist visits to keep a close eye on the stint and aorta where it narrowed. She said theres a 75% chance that can happen again. :( There is a chance that Dr. Kogon will request another cardiac cath in a month for pre-op just because he has so much going on in his little body. Weekly home nurse visits will still happen to keep closer eye on him too. She wants us to get home and hopefully him be able to stay until hes expected to be back (praying hard for that bc hes spent 8 of 12 weeks here in this stinky hospital, even though its become our second home). That way he gets better rest and uninterrupted sleep and stimulation etc. Aka some sort of normalcy. Which I agree. Hes happier at home. Our next big goal is getting him through until at least Nov 21st so we can get this next open heart surgery done and him in a safer setup surgically. Please keep our sweet little boy in your prayers. This nasty CHD is rearing its ugly head way too often for Andrew. :(
