Dr. David Keith, a Canadian scientist doing research at Harvard, just came out with a book, A Case For Climate Engineering, in which he suggests seeding the upper atmosphere with sulfuric acid, in order to cool the Earths temperature, to offset the warming tendencies of greenhouse gases! He admit that this might hurt some people along the way (more than a million people are killed globally by the sulfuric acid that industry puts into the lower atmosphere now) but when you do the math, these problems do not appear that severe, according to the good doctor.
