Dr. Dorothy Height is one of my Sheros as EVERYONE knows. I stand proudly on her shoulders as a Woman on a Mission for Women and Girls. A few years ago I was blessed to attend her very last Birthday Party at the Washington Hilton Hotel with Oprah Winfrey in attendance. Unfortunately I never had the opportunity to meet her face-to-face before her transition. For her 100th Birthday on March 24, Sisters4Sisters,Inc. and our Daughters of Destiny Mentees hosted a Special Birthday Party in memory of Dr. Height with historical reflections and life lessons for our young girls and tweens. We Celebrated with Purple her favorite color while also making Hats in honor of the gorgeous hats which she always adorned. A Special Thanks to Erica Henry, Dina Estelle Williams, Danielle Weston and Sandra Wright, Lisa Get Excited Now With Lisa McCrae Tabler and others who made this day sooo Special. I am in such awe of D. Heights life lessons and Passion for Women to WIN. GIRL ON FIRE FOR WOMEN WHO INSPIRE US ALL TO REACH HIGHER...HAPPY 102nd BIRTHDAY DR. HEIGHT
