Dr. Joanne Wellness Tip: Gluten-free is not the answer for everyone, especially if you replace your gluten-containing processed foods with gluten-free processed foods (i.e. pizza crust, cookies, pretzels, tortillas, bread). In my opinion its better to have some wheat, especially sprouted wheat as in Ezekial bread/cereals than it is to have a bunch of potato, corn and guar gum in your gluten free-products. Check out what Michael Pollan has to say about this! I agree with him that for many, the health benefits of going gluten-free are from reducing the amount of carbohydrates and sugar in the diet.
