Dr John Maxwell says that the difference between an educator and a communicator is that an educator takes simple things and makes them complex while a communicator takes the complex and makes it simple. Its foolish to make the simple complex just so that you can sound "deep". According to Pastor Andy stanley, being "deep" by using ambigous, unclear and complex language is not what qualifies you to be a deep and great communicator. Good communication is about authenticity, being engaging simplicity and practicallity. Ive found these 4 book resources to be incredibly helpful in nurturing my communication and public speaking skills... "Speak to win" by Brian tracy, "Many communicate few connect" by Dr . John c maxwell, "Communicating for a change" by Andy Stanley, "7 keys to unlocking an authentic empowered communicator" by Dr Calvin miller and finnaly "say it well" by Dr Charles Swindoll. We have been trusted with a great message by God that has power to affect the eternal destinies of men.
