Dr Joice Mujuru : Did she intend to challenge the President - TopicsExpress

Dr Joice Mujuru : Did she intend to challenge the President Robert Mugabe in December 2014 Zanu Pf Elective Congress? If ever Dr Joice Mujuru had any interest to challenge the President, it was a suicidal move. What I know clearly is she has been involved in the politics of this nation long enough to know that this was a hard call. Political wisdom like chess is to Protect the Leader and your interests are met. She surely understands this. What I am certain of is the difficulty for Dr Mujuru to insure cordial relations with the first lady. It is certain that a woman to woman relation would be difficult to cultivate considering that Dr Mugabe was once a junior in government to Dr Mujuru prior to Dr Mugabe becoming first lady. There is a chance that the political opponents to Dr Mujuru noticed the clear gap in relation and made a strike. This is likely to have been just in time when congress was coming and President Mugabe would not want to hear of any allegations of a Sell Out Vice President. My analysis would say it is not only the desire to assume of the Presidency that Dr Mujuru is accused of. It is likely to also involve the future safety of the first family once the President retires that the Vice President is likely to be seen weak in ensuring. To the young persons who aspire to assume high office once they are a Vice President, Deputy Chairman of a Cell, Branch, District, Province or if you are like Varaidzo Mupunga as Secretary of Administration in the Zanu Pf Youth League National Executive and you want the post of Deputy Secretary of Youth Affairs in the Politburo, here are a few points to go about it. 1. Observe the current president. By observing the person who you want to replace, you can see their strengths and weaknesses. See how people react to what they say and see what certain qualities work well for the position. 2.Analyze yourself as a vice president. What are your strengths and weaknesses? Compare them to the president and see what you need to work on or improve. 3. Ask around. Do a random poll and ask your peers what they look for in a good president. These are the people who will be voting for you so their opinion matters. 4. Do your job well. You cant expect to be promoted by slacking off and not doing your own job. You have responsibilities and make sure you do it to the best to your abilities. 5. Step up. If the president is unavailable, take responsibility and offer to help. If the president was supposed to hold a barbecue, offer to have it at your home. Offer to do things that the president is not able to do. 6. Go above and beyond. Along with doing your job well, you need to prove to your peers that you deserve a better position. If you have to decorate a bulletin board, dont make it ordinary, make something that will stand out and will catch someones eye. People will recognize your work and think highly of you. 7. Show good leadership. A good president of anything encourages others, gives advice, and knows how to lead a group to success. Being a vice president, you still have some power to influence your peers. Use this to your advantage! Influence them and encourage them to do great things and people will see confidence in you. 8. Earn the trust of your peers. Give them reason to trust you by doing something when you say you will, keeping a secret when asked, etc. This trust creates a close bond and can sometimes guarantee a vote. Make friends with some of your peers and that can also guarantee a vote. Tell your friends how you want to be promoted and sometimes they can help you get more votes. Dont trash talk any competition because it will make you look bad. Dont force people to vote for you. Dont bribe people for their votes.
