These four foods are: 1) Sugars, especially fructose - Excessive sugar and grain consumption lead to insulin resistance and diabetes. Insulin resistance contributes massively to inflammation, which will prematurely degenerate the brain. It is important to keep fructose consumption very low. This includes refraining from eating too many fruits. 2) Grains - Even whole organic grains will convert into glucose and spike insulin levels. 3) Artificial sweeteners - Probably the worst artificial sweetener is aspartame. This is an excitotoxin that literally will destroy the brain cells. Aspartame at any level is a BRAIN CELL KILLER! There is no honest reason why the FDA allows aspartame to continue to be added to foods. The herb STEVIA is the only safe artificial sweetener. 4) Soy - Unfermented soy products are a common food that must be avoided to maintain a healthy brain function.
