Dr. Michael Chase, director of Elephants without Borders, presented to the ministers and senior officials from five African countries as part of the Wealth Accounting and the Valuation of Ecosystem Services (WAVES) partnership. These leaders were in Botswana to discuss their follow up on the commitments they had made at the Gaborone Summit for Sustainability during the run-up to Rio +20, taking a leading role in making sustainable development a reality.
