Dr. Michio Kaku is a brilliant scientist and thinker. What he states here about the transition from a type 0 civilization (divided, multipolar etc...) to a type 1 civilization (planetary government, cosmopolitan, multicultural, in other words the end byproduct of globalization) is a volatile transition, as it will face resistance from political reactionaries, cultural purists, religious fundamentalists and terrorists, and geopolitical tensions could cause the self destruction of this emerging global society, is very relevant to those of us who study the bloody history of the first half of the 20th century, in the First Age of Globalization from the 1860s to 1914 (marked by European predominance) self-destructed with two world wars, economic crises, extreme ideologies, ethnic conflict and genocide.
