AMHCA Call for Programs Program Submission Deadline Friday, December 15, 2014 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time Dear Colleague: As announced in the Advocate earlier this month, the American Mental Health Counselors Association is now accepting proposals for Transformation in Action, the 2015 AMHCA Annual Conference, taking place in Philadelphia, July 9-11, 2015. Share Your Knowledge & Experiences! We invite AMHCA members, mental health counseling students and other mental health professionals to present their research and expertise at the only conference devoted entirely to the mental health counseling profession. Types of Programs: Three-hour workshop* 1.5-hour workshop* One-hour program* Poster session * Please note that at least one co-presenter must have completed their masters program for 1- 2- and 3- hour sessions. At least one co-presenter must be a member of AMHCA-National. ALL presenters and co-presenters MUST register for the conference. We request programs to be categorized in the following areas: General Integrated Care and Practice Issues Ethical Practice Children/Adolescents/Family (human development, assessment, couples issues, domestic violence) Neuroscience Innovations in CMHC Veterans Issues Assessment and Treatment of Trauma Clinical Supervision Assessment and Treatment of Substance Use Assessment Feel free to pass these suggestions and this invitation on to others who may be interested in submitting a program.
