Dr. Pat Francis When God is for you By this I will know that God is for me. Psalm 56:9. To have confidence that God is for you will bring you great peace. Why? God is all-powerful. When God is for you no matter who or what is against you, they cannot be greater than your God. Intimidators can roar against you but like old lions they have no teeth and cannot bite you - you are protected by God. Boastful people can try to discredit you but they cannot shame you - your security is in God. Difficult people can try to confuse you but they cannot destabilize you - your peace is of God. God has a reputation for miraculously preserving His believers. In Babylon He protected Daniel when he was thrown into a den of ferocious and hungry lions. So the king gave the order, and they brought Daniel and threw him into the lions den. The king said to Daniel, May your God, whom you serve continually, rescue you! Daniel 6:16. God did. The King of Babylon issued a new decree: I issue a decree that in every part of my kingdom people must fear and reverence the God of Daniel. For he is the living God and he endures forever; his kingdom will not be destroyed, his dominion will never end. He rescues and he saves; he performs signs and wonders in the heavens and on the earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions. Daniel 6:26-27. In a hostile environment, know that God is for you. The writer of the book of Romans says: What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31. Today put your trust in God. Kingdom Declaration: My God is for me and my confidence is in Him for my protection, provision and preservation.
