Dr.Tom Frieden of the CDC needs to be fired. Hes bungled overseeing the Ebola outbreak in the USA every bit as badly as former FEMA Director Michael Brownie Brown bungled the Hurricane Katrina aftermath. Leadership means you set the bar and work your ass off to make sure the people you are leading have everything they need to deal with the catastrophe. A good leader doesnt play defense even in the wake of catastrophe-- he or she goes on the offensive and is on the front line making sure things are squared away, the workers have support AND equipment, and information is being shared effectively. If Frieden is going to be the point man for the POTUS in the absence of a Surgeon General (and that is a whole nother rant, folks), then he should have been prepared for this --whether this is Ebola, Sars, H1N1, biological attack from terrorists, whatever.
