Dr. Willie R. Tolbert, Honorary Doctoral, was so many times addressed with that handle. Rev. Dr. Jeremiah W. Walker, Honorary Doctoral. Is still duly addressed with that appropriate handle. .Rev. Dr. Walter D. Richards, Honorary Doctoral conferred by the University of Liberia recently in 2005 thereabout. Dr. Lucinda York, founding Principal of the Monrovia College and the African Methodist Episcopal University (AMEU), received a Honorary Doctoral, and headed the AMEU for years. Dahkpannah, Dr. Charles G. Taylor, Honorary Doctoral. Dr. Taylor in formal gathering and the Media was usually handled with his Traditional Priestly Title of Dahkpannah, but also his Honorary Title all squeezed together in the limited space just to handle him with the acclaim. Dr. Samuel K. Doe. Honorary Doctoral, was so often called by his title, till even on Lone Star Football matches/victories, the media would call him Dr. Doe. I could go on and on. But neither time nor space is a luxury in my favor. George M. Weah, too, was conferred upon, a Honorary Doctoral by the African Methodist Episcopal ZION University in 1999. George Weah was also conferred upon ceremonial Ambassadoralship first as Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF, and then Sports Ambassador for Sport in Liberia, and yet again, for Peace Work in Liberia. The Honorary Doctoral is not the same in value as the meritorial Presents. In Human Resource evaluation, certain jobs will make emphasis that the applicant must have a Doctoral of Merit. However, when if comes to Public Protocols, and Ethics, all holders of Doctorals are treated with the same Honors and Etiquette. I didnt establish this protocol. And no one in these forum, no matter how bitter you are against a Holder of a Honorary Doctoral, you have no power to peal off or repeal that acclaim from the holder. It is against this Backdrop, that I repost, my esteemed Honor of recognition for a few of Liberias Holders of Doctoral acclaom. Some here are meritorial and others are Honorary. But as is the global standards and best practices, we grant etiquette and courtesy protocols to all Doctorals without distinctions. Thereby, I am calling on those who may not like Dr. George Weah Politically, to not break norms, just to fuel your bitterness. Show some love to these Liberian Dr., including the Hon. Amb. Dr. GEORGE MANNEH WEAH. Thanks for being goid Citizens of Mama Liberia and for taking the highground and showing good managerial skills over your hate.
