Dragon Café is a very interesting user-led initiative in London. Its a unique combination of a day care center and a social enterprise. When I was there in August 2012 I really enjoyed their vegetarian kitchen and the vibrant cultural atmosphere of the place. Two things were outstanding for me: - the place was managed and run entirely by users and volunteers - it was open for the entire community and also for dropping in tourists I believe that similar, user-led initiatives combined with the sustainable model of entrepreneurship are very promising examples of a new generation of mental health services. A living proof of ability and integration without the artificial atmosphere of clinical settings.
