Dragorn! Introducing a simple day/night cycle. On top of that, Im also introducing the shadowing system. Now you can cast a shadow of every tile and sprite. The transformation and offset of all shadows are customizable. As an addition to the day/night cycle, the shadows move dynamically from the suns direction to give it a realistic feeling. My method for drawing shadows: Make a copy of the tileset/spritesheet. Scale down every R G & B value to zero. Scale down every Alpha above a certain maximum, to that maximum. That way, your shadow holds the shape of the sprite, and you preserve all of the transparancy and anti-aliasing.
